A true classic crusher with recon piping and complete with high quality SS cap insignia. You can buy cheaper crusher caps, but not of this quality and the badges I use for these caps are nothing like you will find on other crusher caps. The cap is made in Germany by EREL which was a war time contractor, I then have the SS skull and the SS eagle made for me and I fix the badges on. These are the same crusher caps that I supplied to the film FURY. The Waffen SS Recon crusher cap features:
- Made in Germany using the best fabrics.
- Made by EREL, which is still making hats like they did in WW2 for the German Army.
- Wool upper.
- Recon piping.
- Black velvet band.
- Quality SS eagle and skull cap badges with an aged look to them.
- Leather peak.
- Metal spring bar in the roof of the cap which gives it its shape, this can be removed to give it a more classic crusher look.
- Marked on the inside EREL.

We have been selling militaria for the last 25 years, dealing with re-enactors and specialising in the German side for the last 15. As a collector and re-enactor myself I am constantly striving to improve standards and seek out better kit. I have supplied kit to the major UK re-enactor groups and have also provided equipment and advice for film, theatres and museums. The first major production I contributed to was Saving Private Ryan and played a significant part in supplying both uniforms and equipment for the Germans in the acclaimed TV drama series Band of Brothers, Captain Correlis Mandolin, Hannibal Rising, Atonement, Valkyrie, Outpost and Inglorious Bastards. I have also contributed to a diorama which is part of a new exhibition which opened recently at the Imperial War Museum, Duxford.
